Stan and Francine celebrate their twentieth wedding anniversary, and Roger takes over the planning of a vow-renewal ceremony. However, Francine, after learning that Stan only married her for her looks, stops her regular beauty regimen for two weeks and becomes incredibly unattractive. Stan reacts by running out on the expensive ceremony. The two of them attempt to make their marriage work, but Stan finds it difficult to see past Francine's appearance, so she throws him out. In desparation, he has his retinas removed, rendering him completely blind. Suprisingly, being blind causes Stan to actually listen to Francine, taste her cooking, and so on, allowing them to fall in love all over again. This comes to a halt when Stan points out that since he is now blind, Francine would have to be the provider for the family. At the second, more modest vow-renewal ceremony, Stan is left waiting at the altar when Francine stands him up. She later admits that wanted to be taken care of, not to have to take care of someone else. Stan and Francine both realize that they married for shallow reasons, but that they do truly love each other, and go through with the renewal ceremony, after Stan regains his eyesight and Francine resumes her beauty regimen. Because of the expense of their two abortive ceremonies, the third renewal takes place in a pizza parlor.

In a set of side stories, Steve and Hayley are ordered by Roger, as the female wedding planner, to find a "meaningful" anniversary gift for their parents. Their search turns to desperation when another Roger persona, a knife-wielding thug, cuts Steve and threatens them with further violence if their gift is inadequate. They end up fleeing to Argentina, only to be followed by the Roger thug. (The wedding planner is also in Argentina, working as a prostitute. And a wedding planner.) Meanwhile, Klaus is upset after Stan brings home a blind fish from the CIA lab, that soon kills itself from swimming back and forth into the sides of the fish bowl. He later has sex with the body.

Sunday Night Precap (18/10/09) & Update

The Simpsons:
Season 21, Episode 4: Treehouse of Horror 20 (20th anniversary)
Tree House of Horror 20
Traditional horror movie characters such as Frankenstein's Monster, the Mummy, the Wolf Man, and Dracula roam the streets of Springfield on Halloween night. After they are taunted by Dolph (dressed as Black Spider-Man), Jimbo (dressed as Master Chief), and Kearney (dressed as The Joker from The Dark Knight), they get new, more modern costumes from a Halloween store (Dracula as Iron Man, Frankenstein's Monster as Spongebob Squarepants, the Mummy as Jack Sparrow, and the Wolf Man as Harry Potter). They then go to an adult Halloween party thrown by Homer and Marge, but are soon confronted by their wives. Homer tries to intervene as the wives begin to assault their husbands, only to be decapitated. Homer's head falls into a bowl of punch when an "X" appears on each of his eyes. "Treehouse of Horror" appears over his eyes that read "XX", summing up to "Treehouse of Horror XX", the title of the episode.
Dial M for Murder or Press "#" to Return to the Main Menu
This segment is shown in black and white. After being sent to detention by Ms. Hoover for disrupting class, Lisa wants revenge. Bart hatches a "criss-cross" plan and tells Lisa that if she pulls a "ding-dong ditch" Mrs. Krabappel, he'll do the same to Ms. Hoover. Lisa thinks this means ringing the bell at Mrs. Krabappel's apartment and leaving. However, Bart soon reveals that he meant for her to kill Mrs. Krabappel, as Bart has killed Ms. Hoover. Bart attempts to coax Lisa into killing Mrs. Krabappel with a paper cutter, but she relents. She then tries to kill Bart with a knife, beginning in a chase sequence parodying several Alfred Hitchcock films, particularly Spellbound and Strangers On a Train. Bart finally finds shelter at a crowded playground carousel, but is left at Lisa's mercy when the other children leave to get ice cream. Lisa, however, says she'll never be a murderer, and attempts to throw the knife away. It cycles over, though, and impales Bart through the forehead. Lisa and Mrs. Krabappel walk away smiling.
Don't Have a Cow, Mankind
Krusty the Clown introduces a new version of his Krustyburger, the Burger2, made from cattle that have eaten other cattle in their feed. Upon eating a burger on live television, Kent Brockman becomes undead and begins biting everyone around him, triggering a zombie apocalypse. Twenty-eight days later, Springfield has become overrun by zombies, with the Simpsons being one of the few survivors. Bart escapes from his family's barricaded house and eats one of the burgers, but turns out to be immune to its effects. The Simpsons are attacked by the zombified townsfolk but are saved by Apu, driving an armored off-road truck. The group tries to leave Springfield, but Apu winds up crashing the truck over a pile of smashed cars. Leaving Apu behind, the Simpsons drive on but run out of gas, walking the rest of the way to a so-called "safe zone." During their journey, Homer is bitten by a zombie Mr. Burns, thus turning him into a zombie himself. The family decide not to kill him in the hopes of finding a cure. They reach the safe zone, where Bart -- being immune to the zombie virus -- is worshipped as the "chosen one". However, the people there believe that cannibalizing Bart will save them from the virus. The Simpsons, however, think of another solution: vaccinating the remaining populace by having Bart bathe in their food before eating it.
There's No Business Like Moe Business
In Broadway musical style, Moe is lonely and upset that he doesn't have a girlfriend and is jealous when he sees Homer and Marge together. When Homer falls into the basement of the bar and is impaled by pipes, his blood becomes the secret ingredient in Moe's new beer. Everyone loves this new beer, saying that it makes them feel warm, secure and cozy on the inside. Moe uses this to his advantage and woos Marge, tricking her into thinking that Homer walked out on her and is gay. Homer emerges, alive, despite being impaled by Moe's microbrew machine and hurls Moe across the room (or rather a giant sack doll of Moe), and gets back together with Marge. At the end, the entire Simpsons cast comes out, singing to the audience hoping that they enjoyed this episode.

Home Adrone
he family takes a trip to look at a potential college for Hayley, leaving Steve to watch over the house. When his friends arrive and realize he has the run of the house, they persuade Steve to break the rules. Going into Stan's study (which he explicitly forbade Steve from entering), they discover a briefcase containing flight controls and believe it is a video game. They play with it for a while before realizing that the console is actually controlling an unmanned military drone (which resembles the MQ-1 Predator but with twin tilt-rotors). They crash the aircraft, but Snot brings it to a mechanic he could trust not to ask questions. Stan returns, having been barred from the plane for leaving to get a magazine in the terminal (even his CIA badge failed to get him in), to find that Steve has betrayed his trust and thrust them into a high-level security situation: if the CIA finds out the drone is missing, then they'll cut off Stan's buttocks. They go to the body shop but the Chinese Mafia had taken the drone as payment for the mechanic's debts, only to sell it to a man for a parade. Stan accidentally informs them that the drone cost 50 million dollars, compelling them to get it back, as well as attack him. Steve calls Stan on his cell phone and tells him to get on the drone, as he remotely controls it away from the parade. This is just the start for Steve to regain his father's confidence.

Meanwhile, Roger dresses up as a young girl named Katelyn on the flight. When the drone flies over, the plane is grounded and Roger finds himself unable to drink because of his disguise, so he dresses up as Stan. When the air marshal notices that "Katelyn" is missing, he refuses to let the plane take-off and threatens to kill a passenger every minute. Francine and Hayley pleads Roger to get back in his girl costume but he is so drunk and into his persona that he's forgotten he was Katelyn. When he realizes this, he dresses as the girl again. However, as the plane taxis for take-off, the drone flies over and they are grounded again; Hayley swears at the top of lungs at this.

In another side story, Steve had accidentally crashed the drone onto a squirrel, who happened to be the President of the squirrel community. The Vice-President takes over, and announces his first act as President is to investigate the contents of a neighboring bird feeder.

One night, Lynette sees Susan hiding in her car with a camera. Lynette reminds her that everyone thought Porter was the one who set the club fire but Susan knows she is right about Danny. While Danny is fixing a friend's car, Susan confronts him and starts to lower the car down on top of Danny so Angie threatens to kill her if she goes near Danny again. He then starts commanding the people of Isla to paint the island yellow, but wasn't satisfied when it was half done and wanted it repainted turquoise. However, the populace grows agitated, preparing an impending revolution. As the CIA had no interest in stopping it, Stan realizes that using people is wrong and goes back to Isla to warn Roger. Homer The Whopper

Bart and Milhouse convince Comic Book Guy to publish a comic book he wrote titled Everyman, in which the title character can absorb superpowers from the characters of comic books he touches. The comic becomes an instant hit, and many Hollywood studios become interested in making it into a movie. Comic Book Guy agrees to let Everyman become a movie, but only if he can pick the star. When Comic Book Guy sees Homer, he considers Homer perfect for the role, as he wants Everyman to be played by a middle-aged fat man. But the studio executives realizes that audiences want a physically fit actor for the role, so they hire celebrity fitness trainer Lyle McCarthy to make Homer fit. After a month, Homer becomes fit and the movie begins production.

Soon afterward, however, McCarthy leaves Homer for another client. Without McCarthy to keep him fit, Homer starts eating again and gains all the weight back. Homer can no longer fit into his costume or even his trailer, and the movie begins to go over budget. The studio executives and Comic Book Guy worry that the film will not be successful. The final version of the movie features scenes with the fat Homer and the physically fit Homer merged together, upsetting the audience. After the premier of the film, McCarthy returns and offers to make Homer physically fit again, which Homer accepts. The studio executives offer to let Comic Book Guy direct the sequel, on the condition that Comic Book Guy lie to the fans and say he liked the film. Comic Book Guy rejects the offer and openly criticizes the movie online.

Family Guy
Season 8, Episode 1: Road to the Multiverse
Road to the Multiverse

Stewie breeds a winning pedigree pig for Quahog Clam Day, and reveals to Brian that he got the pig from a parallel universe. He shows Brian the remote that allows him access to different parallel universes, each depicting Quahog in the same time and place, but under different conditions. For example, the first one that they went to was a very futuristic version of Quahog because Christianity was never created. They travel to different worlds as a demonstration, but having never traveled to more than one other parallel universe Stewie is unaware of how to return them home.

Brian is set to return until they reach a universe where humans are subservient to dogs, and changes his mind. An argument between the two results in them destroying the remote, trapping them in this universe, so they head on to the universe's Griffin family (who are all dogs) to find a solution. They discover that Dog Stewie has also invented the same remote. But while Dog Stewie was getting the remote, Stewie bites Dog Peter and is sent to the human pound, where he would be euthanized. Brian, Dog Stewie, and Human Brian go to the human pound, free Stewie, and sends him and Brian back to their universe. Human Brian, tired of living a harsh life under dogs, goes with them, but gets hit by a car before he can achieve any of his goals.

The Cleveland Show
Season 1, Episode 1: Pilot
Photobucket

Cleveland tells his friends that he has lost ownership of his house to his ex-wife Loretta and gained custody of their son, Cleveland Jr., and begins to worry about his future. After Peter (once again) destroys the front of Cleveland's house while he's in the tub, Cleveland decides he has finally had enough of everyone around him hogging all the attention and shenanigans, so he moves out of Quahog with Junior to California to pursue his life-long dream of becoming a professional minor league baseball scout.

Along the way, the two decide to stop off at Cleveland's old hometown of Stoolbend, Virginia where Cleveland runs into his old high school crush, Donna, who agrees to let him stay at her house for a few days. There he meets her philanderous five-year-old son Rallo and her irresponsible teenage daughter Roberta, as well as her neighbors: a redneck named Lester, a hipster wannabe named Holt, and an anthropomorphic bear named Tim. He also learns that Donna had divorced her no-good husband Robert, who was her boyfriend during high school, leaving her unable to handle caring for her children properly. Cleveland promises to set her children straight before he continues on his way.

Cleveland threatens Roberta's equally negligent boyfriend Federline Jones into bringing her home on curfew and gets Rallo back in school after he was expelled for looking up his teacher's skirt, and begins to fall in love with Donna all over again. Donna thanks Cleveland for all his work and decides her children need a man back in her family's life; however, instead of choosing Cleveland, she gets back together with Robert.

Dejected, Cleveland leaves for California early with Cleveland Jr., but Junior convinces Cleveland to get back together with Donna. Cleveland returns to profess his love for Donna and helps her see that Robert is still not the man her family needs. Donna realizes Cleveland is right and leaves Robert for him.

Cleveland and Donna later get married, and the two families accept each other into their lives.

American Dad
Season 5, Episode 1: In Country Club
In The Country Club
Steve has been chosen to sing the national anthem at the veteran's fair. However, he sings it with little passion, leading Stan to believe that the only way he can truly appreciate the national anthem is by experiencing war. Stan signs them both up for a Vietnam War re-enactment held at a local country club's golf course. Upon enlisting, Steve is immediately put on guard duty but he falls asleep, allowing the Vietnamese to attack their base and capture Stan. Steve goes in on a mission to rescue his father and succeeds. But later, while singing the national anthem at the fair, fireworks are lighted, sending Steve into a "war" flashback. This causes Steve to be committed to a mental hospital. Later, Steve escapes from the hospital as the doctor questions a limbless man named John Q. Mind (voiced by male pornographic actor Randy Spears) on how he opened the curtain. He uses his psychic powers to knock her into the wall as "Mind Quad" goes to commercial. Steve returns to the country club where the re-enactment took place (in a parody of First Blood). He interrupts the golfing, at which a patron tries convincing him to leave, only for Steve to snap again when he sees a spinning sprinkler, thinking of a helicopter and holes up in the golf cart shed. Stan comes in to apologize for pushing him too far and tells him that he can sing the way he wants to. Unfortunately, Steve sings the anthem in an excited mode while wearing a unitard; Stan tells a fellow veteran that he's his neighbor's son.

Meanwhile, Roger wants to gain the code to the Pay-per-view channel to see Barbra Streisand sing the songs of Celine Dion. However, Stan refuses to give it to him (he agreed when he thought it was $4.99, instead it was $499). So Roger joins the Vietnamese side of the reenactment as Stan's warden, interrogating him while he was captured; he tortures Stan by reading the first draft of the Sex and the City film. When Stan gives him a fake code, Hayley soon gives him the real code, in exchange for setting free an Ortolan Bunting, a rare bird, he was planning on cooking and eating. However, he gives her Klaus dressed as the bird. As Roger watches his show, he eats the bird and is so overwhelmed that he experiences the alien equivalent of a DMT trip.

As the credits are rolling, the "Mind Quad" part of the episode returns as a man wearing a black trenchcoat runs into the hospital room. The doctor tells him that John has escaped. The man reveals that John's limbs were not blown off of his body, but into his mind, giving him telekinetic powers. The man vows to catch John as we see John using his mind powers to ride a motorcycle towards the Pentagon.
